I think the ideal client also realizes that you are absolutely invested in their business once you form the partnership. If you’re bringing up something, it’s because you want them to succeed – not for them to be bothered or have to do extra work just for the fun of it.

An ideal client realizes that you absolutely do care and that it’s not just a payment you’re accepting. You’re signing up to be part of their success in the long run.

That’s why I really believe the VA world is shifting from delegation to implementation. Smart VAs are learning all the same marketing techniques that business owners are – and if a client has found you and decided to work with you, it’s probably because your own marketing techniques are working.

This is something I think about often – and you touched on a lot of great points. If we can’t always find a client who has vision, we need clients who have evolved out of their ego so they can accept help and advice. I think that’s the deeper issue at stake.

So many times as a VA I’m sad for the client who refuses to take our advice. We’ve made successes of so many clients by using systems that work. At the end of the day we ONLY have the best interests of our client at stake; we WANT them to succeed because if they are successful WE are successful as well. It’s a win win situation.
