If you didn’t already know, my husband, my daughter Willow and I are living with my parents at the moment while we are in transition between our old house and a new house.  Being here has given me a lot of support with my daughter and time to get back to focusing on work.  However, I can’t help but dream about the possibilities if I were to become the next Magnum Heir — namely, buying our first home.

Now, I can’t actually become the next Magnum Heir but YOU can (I’m involved in spreading the word about the fantastic contest so I can’t also be a winner… that would be unfair!).

Here’s why you’ll want to take notice…

Magnum is an amazing ice cream bar product that is launching into Canada.  When I say that this ice cream is to die for, believe me… I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur  The launch of the Magnum product means that you, as long as you are in Canada, have an opportunity to win an amazing prize and become the next Magnum Heir.

So, before I tell you about the contest itself, let me share with you a little bit about the product.

My personal favorite?  The Magnum double caramel.  Oh. My. Goodness. It’s delicious.

Okay, so onto the contest…

First, you need to jump over to http://on.fb.me/lrJlgm and “like” the Facebook page for full details and updates… That’s your first step to becoming the next Magnum Heir.

Then, you’ll need to whip out those video cameras and tell the world why YOU should be the next Magnum Heir.  It’s pretty simple… you just need to grab an ice cream bar (for inspiration, you know?!  In fact, grab at least three or four… haha) and spill it.

Mine would go something like this…

“I want to be the next Magnum Heir because for the past two months, I’ve been living in my parent’s spare bedroom with my daughter and my husband.  While I love my parents, I can’t quite wait to escape the cramped quarters and purchase our first home.  If I were to become the next Magnum Heir, the first thing I would do is use the $100,000 as a down payment on that home.

Then, I would take my husband and daughter with me on the $50,000 Holt Renfrew shopping spree so that we could buy some new threads to wear on ‘new house ribbon cutting day.’

Once we were all settled in nicely to our new home, I would then pack them up and take them with me on both the all-expenses paid trip to Europe AND the trip to New York City (where we had our honeymoon AND our babymoon!)

The chef and chauffeur service would be SUPER helpful with having the new baby around and I’d invite my parents over for every catered meal as they’ve helped us SO much over the past few months.

Lastly, the makeover would be all mine baby… having a baby sets your priorities back a bit so I’d make sure I was taking FULL advantage of that one.  Bring the yummy mummy back into business!!”

Will YOU Be the Next Magnum Heir!? #MagnumHeir

BREAKING: Baron Von Magnum, the creator of our world-famous Magnum Ice Cream bar, has died. Who will inherit his fortune?

In a surprise statement from the lawyers of the Magnum Empire, It was announced that Baron Leopold Ferdinand Von Magnum the Third, founder of the Magnum Ice Cream bar company, died at 72.

His infamous ‘Magnum Bar’, a phenomenon across Europe, was the realization of a life-long dream for the Baron, who was reportedly descended from 16th century Belgian Chocolate royalty. According to those close to the Baron, it was his ultimate goal to create, quote, “the most pleasurable ice cream bar the world has ever known. Ever.”

The luxurious bar was released only recently in Canada to wide celebration and will reach
widespread distribution this May 2011, making the news of the Baron’s death all the more tragic.

As for his family, who were, quote, “devastated” at the loss… it was quite a different scene
outside his lawyer’s office.

According to a statement released only hours ago, all family members have been cut from the will… causing a public display of outrage from his daughter, socialite Josephine Fortune Von Magnum, and his wife, Henrietta Coco Von Magnum.

But wait… this story is about to take a whole new twist. In a surprising announcement at the end of his will, Von Magnum declared a public search be carried out… to find a new heir.

This is totally unprecedented. He’s basically saying, he’s willing to give it all away to the right person. The Baron actually states in his will that he’s looking for an heir or heiress who understands that “a day without pleasure is a day lost”. A mantra he himself apparently lived by.
